Edit: Back again, and better than ever! Started with a superb Artichoke Shrimp Green Chile Dip, and finished with an amazing version of Bananas Foster! I have had some pretty tasty B.F. in New Orleans, but these folks take it to a new level. Lovely tableside presentation and the taste is fantastic! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful restaurant with delicious food in the historic Centro district. Every bite was wonderful, starting with chips and salsa created at your table, to seafood enchiladas with a heavenly Buerre Blanc sauce, crusted tuna steak and tasty coconut shrimp. The courtyard is beautifully decorated and service is perfect. We were lucky to get a table without reservations on a Tuesday night, so plan ahead. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

I’m sure the President of Mexico, Pablo Neruda and Jesus come here to dine, as the ambiance in its courtyard among the trees, art and lights are hypnotic and romantic! The food is out of this hemisphere. The staff made salsa and flaming bananas at my table side. I started with Topolo shrimp as an appetizer and the amazing pork shank as the main course.I think I want to sing and fly! Great send off to myself on my last night in this glorious place!

This was an awesome find! The atmosphere was fun, I loved sitting in the back of the courtyard, but they offer some indoor seating as well. I cannot say enough good things about the staff that served us. The women that took care of us were so friendly and efficient. They made fresh salsa at the table and it was perfect, so fresh and delicious. We ordered the Tuna Tartar as our appetizer and it was well worth it, so yummy! All of our dishes were great. I had the tuna steak - OMG! Pepper and wasabi crusted, cooked perfectly with just a sear. My husband had the pork shank which had amazing flavor. Our friends had the seafood enchilada, the Chili Relleno, and a streak. They all said it was really good. They have a good selection of wine. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir from Mendocino, California. This place is just a short walk from The Prado. You should definitely check it out!

From the second you step foot into Topolo, you are welcomed into a beautiful setting by very friendly and attentive staff. You are served water immediately, drink orders are taken, chips and a bean mix are served. Salsa is prepared at your table. Entrees were absolutely fantastic. Flavors were outstanding. I cannot emphasize how great the service is. This was a perfect meal. It's a gorgeous courtyard setting and set the mood perfectly. A bit pricey by local standards I guess but I felt it was actually very reasonable based on what we got for the money. It was a dining experience not just a meal out. Strongly recommend. You have to experience Topolo when in Centro Historico Mazatlan!!!!

Great Mexican food and atmosphere. Loved that the restaurant was open aired. I had the artichoke shrimp dip and seafood enchiladas which were delicious. They made the salsa right if front of us and took out a small portion of not spicy for my daughter and made it they way we like it. My daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo dish which had lots of yummy veggies too. I was impressed! My hubby had the cilantro fish fillet which as great as well! We went on a Wednesday early and didn’t make a reservation. The host guy that sat us said we were luck we showed up when we did. We beat the crowd, so I would make a reservation next time.

An absolute gem! Every item on the menu is a 5 star, food and drinks. And the entire staff makes you feel like family, down to the owner himself. We actually went twice in the first week we were in Mazatlan and will definitely visit again when we're back. You may want to make a reservation.

We had a truly lovely evening! The ambience was incredibly unique, with the charm of a building dating back to the 1880s, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, and every dish we ordered was outstanding. The salsa, in particular, was the best I have ever eaten — so fresh and vibrant. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything just right, but this was one of those special experiences. Highly recommend!
